B Ed Overview

Bachelor of Education or B.Ed is a UG professional degree programme that can be pursued after completing a bachelor's or master's degree from recognised institutes in relevant streams. The course duration of B.Ed is 2 years but students have the option to complete the degree in a maximum of 5 years. To pursue a Bachelor of Education course, one has to take the relevant BEd entrance exam for admission to their desired college.

B Ed Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must have completed their bachelor’s degree or master’s degree or any equivalent degree in any stream from a recognised university.

The candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% overall marks from a recognised university in any relevant stream at the bachelor level.

The candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% overall marks from a recognised university in any relevant stream at the postgraduate level.

There is no specific age limit for pursuing a Bachelor of Education course in particular. However, some colleges do ask for a minimum of 21 years of age to pursue a BEd course.
